Self Portrait
In this self portrait, I explore the darkness in my own soul and my transcendent nature, which Aristotle defined as the core or essence of a living being. My weaknesses are evident in the portrait, but there is also an aura of hope that my soul will transcend the chains that hold me to this earthly exsistance and will one day soar above this ‘grave o’er hanging firmament’ and find repose among the angels.

NaBloPoMo
That stands for National Blog Posting Month. You can get there from here. I'm going to post every day in September. This is a worthy challenge, don't you think? I'm doing a lot more writing now than art work. Writing doesn't take up so much space and I can do it all year long. I will put all my September posts here, too. The theme for September over at NaBloPoMo is 'art.' So, art it is...every day...for thirty days.
