Ready Made Magazine

I forgot to put this on my Christmas list...a subscription to Ready Made Magazine. Have you ever looked at a pile of shipping pallets and said to yourself, "I could make a house with that."
Well, someone did! I already have a house, but you could make a cool dog house or playhouse with them, too. Michael Janzen also has a blog where he has photos of all kinds of things he has made with shipping pallets. If you're handy and like to make stuff, I recommend Ready Made magazine.

Here's something that I made from an idea in Ready Made. I'm not as bad as Esmerelda Marcos with my shoes, but I do have about 7 pair and I didn't have a place to keep them out of my way. Well, here's a great idea:

All you need are some of those little hooks that you screw into wood, and some small short bungie cords...Home Depot.



Just put 2 sets of hooks about 12-14 inches apart and attach the bungie cords. Your shoes will be out of your way and easy to get to!
